自然がもつ多様な機能を活用し自然災害などを防ぐインフラ(社会基盤)のことを
グリーンインフラと言います。徐々に広がりつつあるこの取り組みを、
子ども向けにわかりやすく解説した書籍です。
案内役のキャラクターデザインに加え、普段はあまり描く機会がない
ランドスケープイラストも手がけた貴重なお仕事となりました。
“Green infrastructure” refers to using nature’s own abilities to help prevent natural disasters. This book introduces the concept in a way that’s easy for children to understand. It was a rare and enjoyable opportunity for me to illustrate landscapes as well as design a guide character for the book.
